50 años de Breakfast at Tiffanys

Parece mentira, pero ya han pasado 50 años que desayunamos los croissanes pensando en Tiffany’s (o al menos yo XD). El 5 de octubre 2011 se cumplieron 50 años desde que se estrenó la película Breakfast at Tiffany’s o Desayuno con Diamantes del director Blake Edwards.

Audrey Hepburn hizo la pelicula que la catapultó a la fama pero no fue en un primer momento la elegida. El autor del libro, Truman Capote, queria que fuera otra atriz, no menos famosa hoy en día, la protagonista. Estamos hablando de Marilyn Monroe. Sin embargo, finalmente el papel de Holly Golightly lo tomó Audrey Hepburn. Se consagranria con él icono de moda de la mano de Givenchy como diseñador de su tan famoso traje.

El elegante vestido que luce Audrey Hepburn en la película, cuando va a desayunar frente a la tienda, ha sido elegido el mejor vestido de la historia del cine. El vestido negro de Hepburn fue diseñado por Givenchy. En 2006, el vestido fue subastado en Christie’s por nada menos que 700.500 euros, el precio más alto dado en subasta por un vestido del cine. Givenchy vestiría ropa para Audrey en muchas otras peliculas, empezando por Sabrina, Breakfast, Charada…

Si no habeis visto la película os animo a verla al igual que otras muchas realizadas por esta atriz tan solidaria y humana (fue embajadora de UNICEF en su edad más adulta).

Breakfast, obra de Capote, relata la historia de Holly, una bella joven que vive en la Gran Manzana y que, aparentemente, lleva una vida fácil y alegre. Tiene un comportamiento bastante extravagante como desayunar contemplando el escaparate de Tiffanys después de fiestas sin fin (con el famoso momento croissant XD). Vive en un apartamento y un día se muda a su mismo edificio Paul Varjak, un escritor que, mientras espera un éxito que no llega, vive a costa de una mujer madura y que se queda fascinado con Holly. Paul lo recordareis, de la serie famosa “El equipo A”. Ahi siempre iba con su puro. También, hay momentos musicales en la pelicula y podreis ver a Audrey tocando la guitarra en una ventana la canción famosa de “Moonriver” ganadora del oscar a la mejor canción del año 1961 y en 1962 ganadora del premido Grammy. Canción compuesta por Jonny Mercer (letra) y Henry Mancini (musica) expresamente para la pelicula.

A day, visiting Fnac web, I saw an English book. This English book was interesting for me because the book it was about the life from Audrey Hepburn!!! Well… I recognised I was looking for books and DVD’s of this artist in that moment.

Immediately, I tried to find it and see the prize. The price is approx. seven euro. It’s a good prize, It’s a little Luxe!!!

Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful and great actress. When there were unhappy times for her, Audrey always showed a warm, friendly face to the world. The world loved her, and people love her now!

This book is level 2. Surely, I can read other level, for instance level 3 or maximum level 4 with a little difficulty by my poor knowledge in English, but this level will be good for me. Moreover I love this actress and her life surely, too. I know a little about it and at least it’s interesting for me. She is my icon ajjaja

Tomorrow, I am going to read the book and I am sure I will enjoy the book. And I want to know her labour with UNICEF jejejej. This part it’s the most interesting for me. I am very involucrative in this things and I like to help people and do things for saving the environment.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s, o Desayuno con Diamantes, es una película de 1961de Blake Edwards, con la magnifica cancion Moon river que os inserto a continuacion. Que por cierto obtuvo 2 oscars a mejor cancion y banda sonora.

Aish me encanta esta actriz!!!!
